Activator with Youth Town.

Here are the children working with the team from Youth Town.  Today they were working on problem solving and team work, verbal and non-verbal communication.

 They all did so well with this and it was nice to 

see some different people coming forward 

to be the 'leaders' of the group.  

Maui and the Sun.

We have been working hard completing some superb art pieces based on the myth 'Maui and the Sun.'

Here are the children hard at work.  

If you look closely you will see they are working on pastels, dye and collage in these photos.  

Come into the classroom and see some of the finished pieces.  Some of these will be on display at the Art Gallery later this month also.

After competing in the Mt Hutt Interfield this weekend he came away with a well deserved 3rd place!  Congratulations!!

The children have been working hard re-writing the story of 'Maui and the Giant Ika'.  

The children took a section each from the myth and have re-written it.  

 Our next step is to make this into a big book or wall story for another class.
